Did you always want to be a writer?

Where do you get your ideas from?

What are your favourite books?

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

What’s your favourite...?

There are loads. There’s the small stuff like being able to wear what you want to work – from pyjamas to a prom dress (and believe me, I have done both). Not working at all if you’re not in the mood. Or working late into the night if you’re on a really good chapter. Going to the cinema or sitting in a café reading a book for ‘research’. And never ever having to commute further than a single flight of stairs. Then there’s the big bit: being able to spend days, weeks, months living in other worlds, and as other people. Giving girls who were mean to you at school their come-uppance. Giving a friend the happy ending he never got in real life. In short – turning daydreaming into reality, and getting paid for it. What could be better than that?
